Setting Rules and Themes

Setting Rules are specific to a setting. In this game, we will be using:

Guts: a new skill that represents your character’s courage. You will automatically start with a d4 in this Skill, which is connected to the Spirit attribute. Guts is rolled on Fear tests, instead of Spirit.

Reason: an abstract representation of your character’s mental stability. Reason begins at 0, and can be either positive or negative. A positive score means your character is sane and stable. A negative one means the hero in question is becoming more detached, isolated, and less… human then he should be.

Your PC’s Reason modifier effects all Spirit and Spirit-based skill rolls on the Fright Table.
